Sensex-Nifty closed with a fall: Market rolled down due to selling in banking and FMCG stocks

Stock Market Closing On 11 August 2023: In the last trading session of the week and the second consecutive trading session, the Indian stock market closed with a decline. Due to selling in FMCG and banking stocks, this decline and selling has been seen in the market. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 365 points and closed at 65,322 points. While the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed at 19,428 points with a decline of 115 points.

In today’s trade, Bank Nifty closed down 303 points due to selling in banking stocks. FMCG stocks have also seen a decline. Apart from this, shares of Pharma, Auto, IT, Metals, Energy, Metals, Real Estate, Healthcare and All & Gas sectors closed down. Only consumer durables stocks have seen a boom. Small cap and mid cap stocks also closed down in today’s business. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 7 closed with gains and 23 closed with losses. Whereas, out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 11 closed up and 39 closed down.
